One of the touted advantages of blogging is that it provides an outlet for every to make their opinions known by removing the traditional gatekeepers of publishing. Which is true to a degree. But we shouldn't fool ourselves that there are no gatekeepers left. The owner of a blog can choose which posts to accept and which to reject. If they want their blog to reflect a certain bias they can do so without anyone being aware of it.
